Like I said in my post about our first time in Paris, we ate in more often than out. (Airbnbs are the best options for having kitchens while traveling!) But I wanted to share the few vegan restaurants that we went to, and some tips for eating vegan in Paris. (Be sure to see what we did in this post & this one.)
Typically Keith and I would go out for lunch and would make dinner at our Airbnb accommodations. Making your own meals is a great way to save money & know all of the ingredients. We’d also pack some vegan food for picnicking as well. Information on a great vegan picnic can be found here.
Going to Hank Vegan Burger was a priority for me. & once we got there, I was extremely happy to have a vegan burger in Paris. It’s a small restaurant with only a handful of tables but we went during off hours so it wasn’t a problem. (Keep in mind that lunch and dinner rushes can be crowded, so plan ahead!)
We both ordered le Petit Menu, which includes a HankBurger + side + beverage.
Side options include fries (which Keith got), coleslaw (Which I got. What was I thinking, though? Those fries look amazing!) & a salad of the day.
& then the burger! They have a variety of different options. But we both opted for the special burger, Le Touriste. & it was delicious!
Hank Vegan Burger is relatively close to the Norte Dame, so including Hank in your Norte Dame plans will work out perfectly.
Maoz Falafel is a vegan gem in a handful of countries across the world & fortunately for you, they have a location in Paris! It’s falafel fast food with a toppings bar that you can keep on coming back to. (All you can eat!) Pretty awesome, right? I’d admit there are sometimes customers that should be more careful about the shared utensils touching their food to be completely honest. Just something to keep in mind.
We personally did not eat at the Paris location, we ate at the Amsterdam locations & enjoyed them greatly. (An upcoming post will have more photos of the food!)
Another option near the Norte Dame.
Fortunately we were in Paris when Hank Vegan Burger was having a pop-up restaurant on the Seine. (Seems to be an option they offer during summertime.) It was fun experience! We definitely did participate in the lunch rush. It took awhile for us to get our food. I think part of it was we went on the first day so they were still working kinks out.
Like I said in my Guide to Paris, France, our Airbnb accommodations were on the street that dead-ended into the Orsay Museum. ^^See it right there on the map?^^ So we were really close! The pop-up was in a very central location near the Orsay and the Louvre.
I ordered la Catcheuse which was a little overdressed, but still delicious!
Our experience at La Verrière was fine. I was overly excited about our meal there, & it was a little pricey. AND I accidentally ate cheese there. So not my favorite place in the world. Read more about our experience here.
There are also MANY vegan grocery items that you make at your accommodations. Moi en Mieux is vegan.
& Sojasun is vegan with 2 vegetarian options. ^^These ones were found in Le Bon Marché (a fancy department store that offers fancy groceries).^^
